After a decade of gathering life lessons, Guysborough-Antigonish trio Shiretown is back and holding court. Their sound, once conjuring saltwater folk vibes, now resonates as flower power country.
The band's members – Jess Favaro, Greg Favaro and Betsy MacDonald – rolled into each other’s lives like cosmic tumbleweeds destined to heal this hurtin' world. Their hopeful lyrics moor in Twelve String Harbour and float on three-part waves.
From waterfronts to folk festivals (including a return to Stanfest in 2024!), Shiretown’s wanderlust has them on the move with new songs that offer poetic insight into the human condition.
